When to be Concerned Over the Noise Your Device is Making
When it comes to using your electronic cigarette or MOD, it’s important to know when something may not be functioning right. Sometimes, hearing a strange noise coming from your unit could indicate other issues. It is important to recognize this as early as possible, so you can either fix it or replace it. However, there are many instances in which a noise that could be considered strange by some is completely normal and a sign of a well-working device.
One common complaint vapers have is hearing a strange gurgling noise. The cause of this noise is very likely coming from the atomizer, which could be flooded. The causes of this noise are very likely coming from a variety of issues within it. If it has been cross threaded or has been screwed on to the battery a little too tightly or loosely you could be experiencing this noise. In addition to that, you could be flooding the center tube by overfilling the tank. If this sounds like the case for you, you need to go ahead and clean it out. To do this, dismantle it and set it under hot running water. Once this is done, let it dry out for at least 24 hours before reassembling.
Another common sound that vapers report with their device is a popping or crackling noise. Not to worry! This noise is usually normal. This noise comes from your atomizer, and signals that your e-liquid is being vaporized correctly. While first time vapers may find this sound concerning, it is nothing more than the juice boiling which makes that strange popping noise. This is a good sign and nothing to worry over.
Devices have evolved over the years. They have gone from something that came filled and disposable to something that could be used time after time and with many flavors. It is clear to see that there has been a great amount of evolution in atomizers, and other types of vaping hardware. However, when an issue does occur, you need to listen and then decide on what you feel comfortable doing to rectify the issue.
