Vaping Systems: Power vs. Speed
These days, more vapers seem to crave serious vaping power. With the new mods coming out that can reach incredible output levels, it's clear that vapers want powerful hits that create enormous, thick clouds. However, there are some drawbacks when it comes to vaping at high output levels. The biggest drawback by far is the fact that this style will drain your battery and vape juice while causing you to go through coils much more frequently.
With sub-ohm vaping being so popular, additional hardware manufacturers are releasing Box MODs that can reach over 200W of power. This type of unit allows vapers to use sub-ohm coils. This combo ensures that they enjoy loads of dense vapor with each puff.
While this style of vaping is certainly appealing, it comes at a cost. If you're trying to save money, you might want to reconsider investing in a super powerful device. The higher the wattage level of your device, the more juice you'll burn through. This is because of the way in which high wattage levels heat up your liquid. To produce those enormous clouds, your unit must heat your vape juice to a very high temperature. This means that you'll go through juice at a quicker rate.
Another disadvantage to sub-ohm vaping is how quickly you'll drain your batteries. The high wattage levels cause your batteries to use a lot of juice per hit. Therefore, you'll have to charge your batteries more frequently.
You may also find yourself going through coils at a rapid pace if you vape at high output levels. Higher wattage levels heat your coils to high temperatures, meaning that they will die sooner. Luckily, there are many coils out there today that are designed to last regardless of the wattage level at which your device is set.
If you want to save money while maintaining your vaping habit, it may be wiser to invest in a MOD that doesn't exceed 100 watts. This will ensure that your juice and coils last longer. This also means that you won't have to charge your vape battery as frequently.
However, if power is more important to you than how much you spend, go ahead and enjoy those high-wattage devices. After all, the technology behind them is extremely impressive, allowing you to chase clouds like never before.
What you want to get out of your vaping experience determines whether you should invest in a high-wattage device. While you may find yourself burning through juice and accessories more quickly, the cloud-chasing potential may be worth it.
