Some MODs Just Shouldn’t Be Used for Cloud Chasing
Vaping is nowadays a culture for those people looking to quit smoking. It is a perfect replacement for tobacco, which is harmful to your health. However, one of the many elements that attracts vapers who have been vaping for quite some time, and are looking to move up, is cloud chasing. Enthusiasts in this field are obsessed with blowing the biggest clouds of vapor as much as possible. This has been taken to greater lengths that have seen the rise of cloud chasing as a sport. There are lots of products on the market that will give you massive clouds that you desire. But, are all MODs safe for cloud chasing? The answer is no, and here is why.
Type of MODs
Expert vapers know that not all MODs are meant for cloud chasing. Why? You would ask. Well, you need great gear that was designed for the purpose. Vape MODs come in various types and with different customizations for the best cloud chasing. Of all the available MODs, mechanical ones are the best for dense vapor productions. However, using them requires experience and are not ideal for everyone. It would be better if you tried the TC (temperature control) MODs first before progressing to advanced ones. This way, you will not risk harming yourself; not with the thin line between cloud chasing and being in control in mechanical MODs. Therefore, the type of gear affects your cloud chasing experience.
Airflow
Different MODs have different air vents and adjustability as well. The vents allow air to mix with the liquid and create a vapor that moves to your mouth to be exhaled as a cloud. Depending on the type of MOD you have, getting the ideal balance of airflow can be tricky. A MOD that doesn’t allow enough air to pass through could be potentially dangerous, and if you let in too much air, the vapor will be thinned, reducing the size of your cloud as well. Because you want huge amounts of clouds, which are dense as well, you always want to get the airflow right without overheating the task at hand which is to chase clouds. It is, therefore, ideal that you find the best MOD with a stiff adjustment, which won’t allow room for distortion.
The Battery
In as much as a MOD is designed to produce lots of vapor and increase the flavor of the e-liquid, its battery matters the most. It comes as a recommendation to ensure that the MOD isn’t overcharged. If the charger of your MOD didn’t come with your brand, you shouldn’t use it. MODs also have different coil builds, and those designed for cloud chasing should have little resistance to avoid a potential fire. The batteries shouldn’t be misused because they can also cause an explosion or a fire. The MOD should also be attended for all the time. This is another reason why mechanical or rather unregulated MODs are not meant for beginners.
Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (RDA)
Most vaping enthusiasts will tell you that for the best cloud chasing experience, having an RDA is a must. RDA comes with a requirement that you build your coil, which is then attached to the tank. Also known as drippers, RDAs involve manual dripping of the e-liquid directly onto the coils before making any tokes. This is one limiting factor to cloud chasers and is the reason why these types of MODs produce large clouds of vapor, unlike other types.
Sub-Ohming and Big Clouds
Sub-ohming is often so risky as it involves pushing the limits of the battery of your device. It is almost impossible to stay safe and produce clouds of vapor using this technique. Low ohm coils produce lots of vapor that is ideal for cloud chasing. However, they quickly gain in temperature and burn your e-liquid faster. This could be a disadvantage, especially for those new to the world of modding, who have no basic knowledge of electricity. Before trying sub-ohm vaping, it is important that you know everything there is to know about the safety of the battery, to avoid potential danger.
MODs are suited for various purposes, and cloud chasing requires specific customizations that if not well made, explosions or fire could occur. Beginners in the world of modding should ensure that they know everything about the types of MODs and which ones to use as they gradually progress.

“Different MODs have different air vents and adjustability as well…”
Wow, I hope these guys aren’t as clueless about juice as they are hardware. Mods do not have air vents. Mods do not hold juice. That is called an ATOMIZER. A MOD is simply the device that provides power to the ATOMIZER. A mod is simply a metal tube with a battery and a button (a mechanical mod), or it is simply a box with a chipset that holds batteries. If you are putting juice in a mod, you won’t be vaping.
“Sub-ohming is often so risky as it involves pushing the limits of the battery of your device. It is almost impossible to stay safe and produce clouds of vapor using this technique.”
This is absolutely RIDICULOUS, regulated mods with proper batteries are very safe. The chipsets are specifically designed to NOT allow you to push the batteries beyond what they can safely tolerate.
This is written like a 2014 anti-vape propaganda piece for a local newspaper.
Great Ejuice Club
