Pure E-Juice Ingredients Matter!
Having pure ingredients in the manufacturing process of e-juice is an important component to ensuring the health and safety of the consumer. If strict quality control practices aren’t implemented and followed, illness and injury become possibilities.
Using pure nicotine in a mixture of e-liquid must be done. Impurities in the nicotine can lead to off-flavors in the final product. These impurities can also affect the consistency and performance of the piece of hardware you vape with. For instance, these impurities in the base nicotine can cause the atomizer coil to become covered with debris over time and produce poor vapor and flavor production.
Additionally, impure nicotine may be labeled at an improper strength level, causing the vaper to buy an e-juice that may be too strong for them.
The juice’s flavoring is another important area to consider. Using pure flavoring will ensure that the flavor can be reproduced accurately with every created batch. Impure flavoring additives shall produce wildly varying results from batch to batch, not to mention the possibility that some flavoring may be so tainted that it’s totally unusable. Also, as with impurities in base nicotine, impurities in flavoring will ultimately lead to decreased atomizer performance and will also produce poor or off-putting flavors.
USP food grade quality propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) need to be used in e-liquids to ensure the consumer isn’t inhaling unknown contaminants. These ingredients are also used frequently in products such as cosmetics and numerous medical personal care items. So, food grade quality ingredients are easily obtained. Making sure to use pure PG and VG will result in the final product producing either a nice throat hit or bigger clouds of vapor for the user.
As you can see, taking the additional steps to make sure pure ingredients are used in the production of e-juice will always produce a superior product. Use a pure nicotine base, make sure the flavoring additives are purely clean, and always use USP food grade propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. When purchasing e-liquid for personal use, ask where it was made and if the ingredients used are free of any contaminants.
