Listening to Your Body When You Vape
By now, it's been established that vaping a better alternative than smoking cigarettes. Despite this information, it is still important that you learn how to listen to your body when you vape. Your body's response to your vape sessions can tell you everything from the type of e-juice to buy to what your juice's nicotine strength should be.
Intolerance to Certain Vape Juice Ingredients
As you probably know, all vape juices contain a mix of vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG). These two ingredients ensure that the juice can be turned into smooth vapor when heated to the right temperature.
However, it's possible to have an allergy or intolerance to one of these two ingredients. While this isn't necessarily common, it is possible. Signs of an allergy or intolerance to either of these ingredients include skin rashes, sinus congestion, headaches and abdominal cramps.
If you're a regular vaper, it's crucial that you increase your water intake. Inhaling vapor in large amounts can cause the body to become dehydrated. In fact, you may have noticed that you feel thirsty after a particularly long and heavy vaping session.
If you feel thirsty, your mouth is dry, or you feel dizzy, you may be dehydrated. That's why it is wise to always keep extra water with them when they are away from home.
If you find that your throat feels irritated after each session, it's possible that your nicotine level is too strong or that your vape juice needs less PG. Both things can cause a juice to feel harsh when inhaled.
In fact, e-liquids with high concentrations of freebase nicotine are notorious for feeling harsh. If you're someone who wants to enjoy a high nicotine level when you vape, you may want to consider switching to a pod mod that utilizes salt nicotine e-juice. This type of juice is far less harsh to the throat.
Dizziness, Nausea, or Anxiety
If you experience dizziness, nausea or anxiety after vaping, you may be consuming too much nicotine. All three of these symptoms are signs of excessive nicotine intake. If you feel any of these symptoms, it's probably time to switch to a lower nicotine concentration.
Never Stop Listening
As you can see, listening to your body can help you determine what you may need to change about your setup. The good news is that if you have any of these symptoms, making a minor adjustment is often all that you need to do to experience vaping satisfaction.
