Keep Calm & Grip Right!
As most of us know out there, vaping comes with a wide array of options and styles. From e-liquids being vaped to the devices used to vape with, and the numerous ways you can customize your vaping experience, there’s always something for everyone it seems.
Speaking of devices, to enjoy your vape sessions, sometimes it’s a matter of how you hold and grip your device. They are simple enough to figure out. Some vapers hold them just like a cigarette, others hold them more like a pencil.
Electronic Cigarettes and Vape Pens
These devices will have a button to depress to operate it. This can be done quite simply with your thumb, holding on to the bottom battery section with the rest of your hand. You could also use your middle, ring, and pinky to hold the battery and depress the button with your pointer finger, supporting the tank with your thumb.
Mechanical MODs
These devices have a button either on the side or top. Either way, it should be simple to figure out what works best for you, as the button will either be depressed by the index finger or the thumb, depending on which type is more comfortable to hold.
Cylindrical MODs
The button is located on the bottom of these devices, so it takes a minute to figure out what works best. Sometimes it is easiest to hold the bottom with the index finger and thumb, resting the base on the middle finger to depress the button. Some vapers take their index and middle finger and use the ring finger to push the button.
Regulated MODs
There will be a button on the face or top. Some just have a round button, but others have a wide bar or click type button. If it's on the face, it will be easy to figure out how to grip it and press the button. For units with the top button, it might take some figuring out how to hold it and press the button. The most common way is to cup the face of the device in your palm and use your thumb to depress the button, while others kind of hold it with the pinky and ring finger under the bottom, middle and index on the front of the MOD, and press the button with the thumb. This is all about personal preference.
Whichever device and grip you choose, just make sure that it’s comfortable and avoid dropping it! If it works for you, it's the right way, simple as that.
