Gateway Effect - There is No Gateway Effect

Gateway Effect - There is No Gateway Effect

The title “Is vaping one of the gateways to smoking?” this is a longitudinal study review trying to determine the effects of vaping on smoking for young adults. For most, they expect to get a clear answer to the question. Unfortunately, there is no answer remaining to make it a better option. For this reason, it remains unresolved. The main reason for this is still simple. There is only a weak scientific material used to have the question addresses in the wake of the 21st century.

Three authors from Arkansas University of Medical Sciences had it in their conclusion that this review has no highlight that the electronic cigarettes have no strong effect for one to stop smoking among the young adults. For this reason, they stated that this research allows the young adults to start smoking cigarettes with a higher force of hunger. However, there is a casual relationship preluding the effect of the gateway isn’t present in conclusion.

From the scientific focus, this study doesn’t even qualify to be called a longitudinal review program as it was suggested by the authors of the study. This is because the study fails to have the inclusion of a report on the current debate which cited literature was only created with the produced report. For this reason, it has no evidence through the material and scientific research on the topic at large. During the peer review process, this is one of the biggest aspects that must be eliminated and highlighted in the process to reject this study from being published in the first place.

Authors to the publication did not accrue with trusted material. They engaged in the use of unwanted material to publish their longitudinal survey. Without any exception, the object of criticism has been focused on all the four materials cited as the source of content for the longitudinal research. For this reason, the whole material is rendered invalid because the materials used are not recognized. Most of the tobacco experts, on the other hand, have criticized these publications and expressed their vigorous concerns in through various written conclusions and disagreements.

In the first place, they use a weak indicator of the use of e-cigs. This is a concept which considers a vaper a smoker. For this reason, vapers suddenly become smokers in an instance. This indicator allows the teenagers to have a will to experiment smoking. Bear in mind that experimentation is a normal behavior. For those who use marijuana together with vaping, they only portray a high degree of rebelliousness.

With all the research on the internet about the benefits of vaping to help smokers quit, this study works on a suicidal mission to nullify these studies. It cannot be accepted worldwide because their arguments are invalidated scientifically. Vaping does not, in any way, make young vapers want to smoke regular cigarettes.
