Clone or Authentic? Let’s Examine!
Whenever a quality product is made, there will be others out there who seek to knock it off or "clone" it. Now, the argument between clones and authentic basically boils down to what kind of vaper you are, and how much you are willing to spend on vaping. The argument can be easily made for both sides, and this is what we're going to explore today: clone vs authentic vape hardware. Where do you stand? Not quite sure? You have come to the right place.
Authentic: When talking about MOD and tank clones, usually means two things to vapers: unrivaled quality and a high price. A lot of the manufactures producing authentic tanks sink a good amount of money into Research and Development to produce a product that functions just as they intend it to - which is flawlessly. It will also usually be a product that will last a long time. Any piece of manufacturer direct equipment is going to be of the highest quality - no leaks, no off flavors from funny metal, no cheap construction - period.
Clones: However, there are those of us who are on a budget - and cannot afford what could certainly be an exorbitant amount of money for a piece or whole device that we could get for a fraction of the price. When it was in infancy stages of popularity, clone tanks and MODs would be lousy, as would most of the cloned pieces at the time (even today, you can find some terrible knockoff pieces if you look hard enough). Inevitably, though, what ends up happening is this: As the authentic manufacturers consistently put our better and better-quality products through R&D; so, do the makers of clones!
You see, in many ways, the cloners have done as good a job to reverse engineer and then re-engineer the authentic parts as possible, creating parts that so closely resemble the originals in both appearance and quality that one would be hard-pressed to tell the two apart unless you were holding them both in your hands. Even then, they are so similar, and perform so closely, that you might not be able to notice a difference when vaping (some of that can be attributed to your level of vaping experience). That is the job of the cloners - to make something that looks and performs identically to the original.
Basically, there is no right or wrong answer. Should you go authentic or clone? What does your wallet tell you? Don't overstep your means. You want to use cloned tanks, MODs, RDAs, etc.? Do your research! You should be researching every part, product, or manufacturer that goes into or on your device before you even think about buying it and having to vape your favorite e-liquid from The Dollar E-Juice Club with it. These days, with all the forums and reviews online, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't.
