A Growing Vaping Trend: Flavor Ghosting

A Growing Vaping Trend: Flavor Ghosting

Vaping is one of the trends that is widely embraced by numerous people. One of the frustrations that individuals who like vaping may encounter is the act of “Flavor Ghosting”. It is also known as “flavor creep”. It may be a major frustration for vapers.

Flavor Ghosting describes detection of the previously used flavor while adding a new flavor. An instance of flavor ghosting is when a vaper uses a Blue Berry flavor but the next time decides to use a new flavor which is Cherry. In such an instance, the vaper may experience the first taste of the Blue Berry flavor. As such, the vaper cannot solely benefit from the flavor that they aimed at savoring at that moment.

The problem of flavor ghosting can only be avoided through good maintenance of the device. Vapers can easily avoid the issue by keeping their entire unit clean. Also, ensure that the remnants of the already used flavor are thoroughly cleaned. Flavor ghosting can be wholly avoided through cleaning the device.

The first step is to lay a few towels on a flat surface with enough space. The device’s mouthpiece should be unscrewed for the clearomizer. Moreover, it should be separated from the battery. With this step, the parts of the unit will be left as separate entities. Using tap water, the mouthpiece should be swilled to remove any remnant of the flavor. The entity should be dried using a dry towel.

The clearomizer should be cleaned by filling it with tap water and shaking. The process should be repeated severally. Using a drying towel, the remaining water droplets within the clearomizer should be dried after pouring the water. It’s recommendable to place the clearomizer in an inverted position on top of a paper sheet. This is to ensure that it thoroughly dries through dripping the remaining droplets.

The best moment to clean the device is before going to bed. This is to ensure that it’s thoroughly dry and is ready for usage in the morning. Upon waking up, assemble the unit by reattaching the clearomizer to the battery. A new e-liquid should be poured in, and the mouthpiece is screwed back. At this juncture, the device is ready for usage, and the vaper can enjoy while eliminating the frustration of flavor ghosting.

  • You can also use straight PG or vodka to clean the unit if water isnt something you want to use in your unit. Also if you want to halve the work of cleaning the unit you can also invest in a jewelry cleaner otherwise known as an Ultrasonic. Simple do as described above to disassemble the tank then place the parts in the Ultrasonic device with the PG or Water as instructed by the Ultrasonics manual.
